Montreal, Maine & Atlantic Railway Co. (MMA) recently named Thomas Klemm vice president of engineering.
He most recently served Canadian National Railway Co. as manager of technical services in Homewood, Ill. In 1993, Klemm began his railroad career at Wisconsin Central Ltd., first serving as an engineering intern while he attended the University of Wisconsin and then as a management trainee. He later held various management positions at Wisconsin Central and CN.
"[Klemm's] background and knowledge will be a great asset to the company," said MMA President and Chief Executive Officer Robert Grindrod in a prepared statement.
Owned by a Rail World Inc.-led investment and management consortium, MMA comprises former Bangor & Aroostook Railroad System affiliates Canadian American Railroad, Northern Vermont Railroad, Newport & Richford Railroad, Van Buren Bridge Co., and warehousing and logistics firm Logistics Management System. MMA began operations in January.
