Montreal, Maine & Atlantic Railway Co. (MMA) recently promoted Director of Engineering Administration Melody Sheahan to vice president of engineering to succeed Thomas Klemm, who resigned. The 754-mile regional also appointed Stephen Arnold to the newly created position of director of roadway maintenance.
Prior to joining MMA as director of engineering administration in January 2005, Sheahan served CSX Transportation and Amtrak in various engineering positions, including senior manager of maintenance, planning and integration, and director of special projects. She also had a short stint as general manager of railroad consulting firm On Track-On Line.
Arnold, who assumes his new position April 1, most recently served as operations manager for the New Hampshire Northcoast Railroad. His previous positions include assistant chief engineer and production engineer for the New York, Susquehanna and Western Railway, and trackman, supervisor of track, supervisor of production and production engineer for Conrail.
MMA — which launched operations in January 2003 — operates lines in Maine, Vermont, New Brunswick and Quebec.
