NRC seeks applicants for scholarship program in memory of Vaccarello, Crisafi

The National Railroad Construction & Maintenance Association (NRC) has announced the availability of scholarships for the children or grandchildren of NRC members.

The scholarships will be provided in memory of Vinnie Vaccarello, a former NRC board member and co-president of All Railroad Services Corp., and Patsy Crisafi, a former NRC Safety Committee member and executive vice president of Roadway Worker Training Inc.
 
The association will award three scholarships: the first place applicant will receive $8,000; the second place applicant, $4,000; and third place applicant, $2,000. The application deadline is Aug. 30.

To be eligible for consideration, an applicant must be a son, daughter, grandson or granddaughter of a current employee at an NRC member company, and be enrolled as a full-time college student at an accredited two-year college offering an associate's degree, or an accredited college or university offering a bachelor's degree.

The association also is accepting donations to the NRC Scholarship Program in memory of Vaccarello and Crisafi.
