NS appoints Melaragni VP human resources

Norfolk Southern Corp. has named Anne Melaragni vice president of human resources, effective July 29.

Melaragni's responsibilities will cover all aspects of human resources for the company. She will be based in Norfolk, Virginia, and report to Annie Adams, executive VP and chief transformation officer.

Prior to joining NS, Melaragni served for 15 years at a leading global provider of transportation and logistics services. Most recently, she served as global head of total rewards, responsible for the planning, design, and implementation of the multibillion-dollar corporation’s global compensation and benefit programs.

"Her experience in the logistics and transportation industry will bring valuable insight to the Norfolk Southern team as we reimagine our organization," said Adams in a press release. "We are excited to have Anne assume a key leadership role as we execute our new strategic plan.”
