Norfolk Southern Corp. recently promoted Assistant Vice President of Strategic Planning Daniel Mazur to VP of strategic planning, effective Dec. 1.
With more than 35 years’ rail industry experience, Mazur joined NS in 1998 after serving Conrail for 25 years in various marketing positions, including operation supervisor of coal terminals.
A former Army captain, Mazur began his career as a summer intern with Penn Central Railroad. He later served a stint with the Grand Trunk Western Railroad, then returned to Conrail predecessor Penn Central.
