New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo recently appointed, and the New York State Senate confirmed, Jonathan Ballan to a six-year term on the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority board. An attorney, Ballan heads the New York public finance group practice of Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo P.C.

Meanwhile, Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon has named Constance Gully to the St. Louis Metro board for a term that expires Nov. 11, 2013. She replaces Richard LaBore, whose term expired. Since 2001, Gully has served as vice president for business and financial affairs at Harris-Stowe State University.
