New York Regional Rail Corp. (NYRR) recently named Donald Hutton executive vice president to manage government relations. He also will serve on NYRR's board.
Hutton most recently served on the executive staff of the New York State Thruway Authority, where he directed the departments of operations and planning services. He previously served as executive deputy inspector general for the New York State Office of Inspector General, and federal police officer for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and U.S. Customs Agency. Hutton also has held public service and criminal justice positions for the Delaware and Hudson Railroad Police Department.
"Building coalitions between the railroad and all levels of government, from Washington, D.C., to state and local governments, will be my paramount mission," said Hutton in a prepared statement.
NYRR — which owns and operates New York Cross Harbor Railroad and trucking firm JS Transportation — also retained Wildstein Advisory Services Inc. as investor relations consultant.
