New York/New Jersey port authority elects officers

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) recently elected board members and agency officers.

The board re-elected law firm partner Anthony Coscia chairman of the authority, a position he has held since 2003. PANYNJ also re-elected Empire State Development Corp. Chief Executive Officer Charles Gargano as vice chairman, Kenneth Ringler as executive director and Darrell Buchbinder as general counsel.

Coscia, Gargano and Ringler also we re-named chairman, vice chairman and executive director, respectively, of PANYNJ subsidiaries the Port Authority Trans-Hudson Corp. (PATH), Newark Legal and Communications Center Urban Renewal Corp., and New York and New Jersey Railroad Corp.

In addition, the board named James Fox deputy executive director and re-elected Paul Blanco as chief financial officer; Karen Eastman as secretary; Anne Marie Mulligan as treasurer; Michael Fabiano as comptroller; and John Brill as director of audit.

Finally, PANYNJ Chief Operating Officer Ernesto Butcher was re-elected vice president and general manager of PATH, and VP and secretary of the New York and New Jersey Railroad Corp.
