Kansas City Southern recently appointed Gil Niesen Jr. assistant vice president-sales operations and administration for the intermodal and automotive business unit.

Niesen spent the past 18 years serving Schneider National Inc. in various operations, logistics and customer service positions, most recently as director of business development. He led the company's implementation of domestic and international wholesale channels.
