Norfolk Southern EVP Elkins joins NAM board

Norfolk Southern Railway Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Ed Elkins has been appointed to the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) board.

NAM represents 14,000 member companies in every industrial sector across the nation.

Of NS's top 200 customers ranked by revenue, more than 90 are major manufacturers. In 2021, manufacturing customers generated nearly $3 billion in revenue for NS, and the railroad moved 965,538 carloads for its manufacturer customers, company officials said in a press release.

"The success of the manufacturing industry is directly linked to our nation's overall economic prosperity, and at Norfolk Southern, we are proud to be a part of our manufacturing supply chain," Elkins said in a statement shared on Twitter.
