Norfolk Southern appoints Zampi VP, controller

Norfolk Southern Corp. has named Jason Zampi vice president and controller, effective Dec. 16.

Zampi has served in various positions in NS finance and accounting departments since 2011. Most recently, he was VP of corporate accounting.

Prior to joining NS, Zampi worked for 15 years at KPMG LLP. In his new role at NS, he will be based in Norfolk, Virginia, and report to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Cynthia Earhart.

"Jason brings extensive public accounting experience, as well as experience in Norfolk Southern’s accounting and finance areas, to the role of vice president and controller," Earhart said in a press release. "He has participated in the ongoing development of our new strategic plan, and we’re excited to have him join our leadership team."
