North Carolina Railroad Co. (NCRR) yesterday announced the promotion of Trish Haver to chief commercial officer.

Haver now oversees the railroad’s revenue generation, commercial strategy and economic development efforts, NCRR officials said in a press release. She is also the first woman in NCRR’s 174-year history to lead its engineering department.

Haver joined NCRR in April 2022 as senior vice president of business development and head of strategy. In the role, she established NCRR’s business development department and led the strategic planning.

"With her boundless creativity and relentless focus on results, Trish Haver brings the strength and experience we need to shape the commercial growth of NCRR," said President and CEO Carl Warren. "I know she will thrive in this critical leadership role."

Prior to joining NCRR, Haver served Norfolk Southern Railway for 21 years in roles of increasing responsibility, including intermodal and automotive marketing, finance and business development. She previously was VP of industrial development for the Port of New Orleans and New Orleans Public Belt Railroad.
