The Orange County Transportation Authority’s (OCTA) board yesterday elected Andrew Do as chair.
Orange County’s First District supervisor, he previously served as vice chair of OCTA’s board. Do has represented OCTA on Metrolink’s board since 2018.
He will replace Steve Jones, who will remain on the board.
The board also elected Orange Mayor Mark Murphy as vice chair, and sworn in two new board members, Vicente Sarmiento and Brian Goodell.
OCTA’s 18-member board is responsible for planning, funding and delivering transportation-improvement projects and public transit, including light rail, in Orange County, California.
