OmniTRAX Inc. has elected Cameron Scott and David Garin to its board.

Scott's addition to the board will coincide with his retirement as executive vice president and chief operating officer at Union Pacific Railroad on Feb. 28, OmniTRAX officials said in a press release.

Scott has been UP's EVP and COO since 2014. In that role, he has been responsible for train operations throughout 23 western states, including management and maintenance of locomotives, rail cars, tracks, train dispatching and crew calling. Previously, he was VP of network planning and operations.

Garin's service on the board follows an extensive career in railroading, including his most recent role as group vice president of industrial products at BNSF Railway Co., OmniTRAX officials said.

Garin has served in that role at BNSF since 1999, with sales and marketing responsibilities for the $6 billion carload segment that includes chemicals, crude oil and petroleum products, building and construction products, and beverages, perishables and canned goods. He began his railroad career in 1983.

"Cam and Dave have an outstanding amount of knowledge and experience between them and we are very fortunate to have them join our board," said OmniTRAX Chief Executive Officer Kevin Shuba. "Their expertise will help guide the growth of our logistics solution offerings and service network, and drive the expansion of [our] customer base."
