OmniTRAX Inc. has hired Justin Strickland to serve as director of economic development.

Strickland will support all phases of business growth and act as a liaison with economic development partners in the southeast United States, OmniTRAX officials said in a press release.

Prior to joining OmniTRAX, Strickland spent more than 12 years at the Albany-Dougherty Economic Development Commission in Albany, Georgia, most recently serving as president. Before working at the commission, he was a marketing executive for Community Capital Bancshares Inc.

Strickland has been recognized by the International Economic Development Council as a certified economic developer and was a founder of Locate South Georgia, a regional economic development marketing alliance for southern Georgia. He is a member of the Georgia Economic Developers Association, the Southern Economic Development Council and the International Economic Development Council.

At OmniTRAX, Strickland will report to Ean Johnson, vice president of economic development.

"Justin has just about the perfect background for our company — a great mix of public and private sector experience. His business development skills mean that current and potential OmniTRAX clients will be even better served,” Johnson said.
