Southern California transit agency Omnitrans has hired Erin Rogers as deputy general manager.Rogers has nearly three decades of transit industry experience, including 10 years as assistant general manager for the Orange County Transportation Authority. In her new role with Omnitrans, Rogers will report to Chief Executive Officer and General Manager P. Scott Graham, and work with the senior leadership team to set the direction of the agency. She also will focus on developing a strong safety culture, as well as boosting customer service and technology usage."I knew the Omnitrans team was doing great work and that there are exciting projects on the horizon, such as the West Valley Connector rapid transit line and Arrow passenger-rail service," Rogers said in a press release.Slated to open in 2020, the Arrow passenger-rail line will run from San Bernardino to Redlands, California. Over the summer, Omnitrans named Trischelle Baysden director of rail as it prepares to launch that service.
