Operation Lifesaver appoints three new board members

Operation Lifesaver Inc. recently named Jo Strang, Michael Martino and Doniele Carlson to its board.

Vice president of regulatory affairs for the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association, Strang fills the OLI board seat representing the short-line community.

Martino serves as senior director of operations for the Association of American Railroads (AAR), which he joined in 2004 after working as assistant vice president of system safety at Amtrak. He fills the AAR's seat on the board previously held by Senior Vice President of Communications Patti Reilly.

Carlson, who has nearly 20 years of public relations experience, currently serves as assistant vice president of corporate communications and community affairs for Kansas City Southern. She is filling a seat previously held by KCS General Director of Safety Trenton Anderson.
