Pinsly Railroad Co. recently appointed Tom Owen vice president of marketing and sales.
He will be responsible for marketing and sales teams functions for the Arkansas Midland, Florida Central, Florida Midland and Florida Northern and Pioneer Valley railroads, as well as the company’s Railroad Distribution Services warehouse/distribution subsidiary.
Owen spent the past five years at RailAmerica Inc. holding various commercial leadership, acquisitions and divestitures, fleet management and field operations support positions. He previously served CSX Transportation and its predecessors in various capacities for 16 years.
One of the oldest railroad holding companies in the United States, Pinsly was founded in 1938. The company owns and operates five short lines in Arkansas, Florida and Massachusetts.
