PANYNJ hires Ehrie as chief security officer

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) has named Greg Ehrie to serve as chief security officer, effective Dec. 12.
Ehrie is a 22-year veteran of the FBI who held national and international positions with an emphasis on intelligence operations and terrorism investigations. Most recently, he was vice president and chief security officer at the Anti-Defamation League, PANYNJ officials said in a press release.
Ehrie will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all agency operations and transportation infrastructure. Additional duties will include emergency management, security project management, security operations across the port authority's assets and overseeing the police department.
Ehrie succeeds John Bilich, who will retire Dec. 23 after serving in the role since 2017.
