Pacer International names Uremovich first-ever vice chairman

On Oct. 15, Pacer International appointed Michael Uremovich to the newly created position of vice chairman.
Based at Pacer Global Logistics' Dublin, Ohio, office, he will be responsible for corporate strategy and management of the company's international, supply-chain services, and warehousing and distribution business units.
Most recently a partner in consulting firm Manalytics International, Uremovich previously served in senior marketing positions for Southern Pacific Railroad, APL Ltd. (then operating as American President Cos.) and Lee Way Motor Freight.
"[Uremovich] brings a wide range of transportation and logistics experience in virtually all of our businesses, including double-stack rail transportation for containerized freight, intermodal marketing, highway services, logistics
management and international services," said Pacer International Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Don Orris in a prepared statement.
