Patriot Rail Corp. recently named James Schultz executive vice president and chief administrative officer. He will be responsible for managing all rail-related administrative functions and assisting President and Chief Executive Officer John Fenton in the company’s daily organizational governance.
Schultz has more than 40 years of transportation industry leadership experience, including a stint as VP and chief safety officer for CSX Transportation. He also has held high-level management positions at Procter and Gamble, Waste Management, CIH Capital Partners and Brimstone Consulting Group. Schultz previously served in the U.S. Federal Senior Executive Service as the top career rail safety enforcement executive for the U.S. Department of Transportation/Federal Railroad Administration.
“Jim has an extraordinary track record of success as a motivator and dynamic change agent, and brings a unique rail leadership perspective to Patriot Rail,” said Fenton in a prepared statement.
Patriot Rail, which recently was acquired by SteelRiver Infrastructure Partners and installed Fenton in the top post, owns 13 short lines operating in 13 states.
