Patriot Rail Co. LLC and Patriot Port Holdings LLC officials yesterday announced former Norfolk Southern Railway executive Deborah Butler has been named to Patriot's board.
Butler has more than 35 years of rail industry experience, including as NS' executive vice president of planning and chief information officer.
Prior to her retirement from NS in 2015, Butler chaired the board of NS subsidiary Thoroughbred Technology & Telecommunications LLC. She also served as a board member for TTX Co. and Conrail.
After her retirement from NS, Butler served as a technology consultant to Amtrak's board and chief executive officer, and has been a director of CMS Energy and Consumer's Energy's board since January 2015.
"Deborah's extensive experience and leadership roles within the rail industry will be a valuable addition to our board," said Patriot CEO John Fenton in a press release.
