Rail News: Railroading People
Patriot Rail Corp. recently promoted Stanley Wlotko to senior vice president of operations.
He previously served as SVP of operations for Patriot Rail’s initial short-line acquisition, the Tennessee Southern Railroad, but now also will oversee operations for the Rarus Railway, which the holding company acquired in May.
Wlotko has more than 34 years of railroading experience, including various senior management positions in purchasing, rail operations, marketing, project management and outsourced services. His railroad stints include stops at the Penn Central, Conrail, Denver & Rio Grande, Southern Pacific and Union Pacific railroads, and RailAmerica Inc.
“Since the acquisition of our first railroad last year, Stan has been an integral part of the Patriot Rail management team,” said Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Gary Marino in a prepared statement, adding that Wlotko helped increase the Tennessee Southern’s carloads 53 percent during Patriot Rail’s first six months of ownership.
