American Industrial Transport Inc. (AITX) has hired Eric Stopka as chief operating officer. Stopka has 28 years of experience at Amsted Rail. Throughout his career, he has led large-scale operational and financial transformations, managed global supply chains and driven customer-centric strategies that delivered measurable results, according to an AITX press release. In his new role, Stopka will focus on process efficiency, data transparency and customer performance to build a platform that’s responsive to today’s market and built for the future, AITX officials said.

Evertrak, which manufactures composite railroad ties made from recycled plastic, has appointed David Connell to the company's tie transformation team. He has over 40 years of railroad operations and infrastructure management experience. Previously, Connell served as vice president of engineering at Union Pacific Railroad. "David has been a champion of composite railroad infrastructure solutions since their first introduction three decades ago," said Tim Noonan, Evertrak's founder and CEO, in a press release.
