The Indiana Rail Road Co. (INRD) announced the return of Brian Jonaitis to the company as director of business and industrial development. In his new role, Jonaitis will focus on opportunities to expand the railroad’s network, developing rail-served industrial sites and promoting economic growth in the communities served by INRD. He has over 18 years of business development experience with INRD. Most recently, Jonaitis was director of railroad services at Absolute Logistics, a consulting company. “We are thrilled to have Brian back on our team. His extensive experience and dedication to the industry will be invaluable as we continue to grow and develop new opportunities for our railroad and the communities we serve,” said INRD President and CEO Joe Gioe in a press release.

Intramotev, a company which builds battery-electric rail car retrofits, has named Harry Zander to be chief commercial officer. Zander brings more than 30 years of rail industry experience to the position and most recently served as chief revenue officer of Patriot Rail, a short-line holding company. Prior to Patriot, Zander was senior vice president of new product development at TrinityRail, a rail car manufacturer. “As the industry looks for more cost-effective and sustainable alternatives, I look forward to helping expand Intramotev’s reach and ensure more customers benefit from this groundbreaking technology,” Zander said in a press release.
