The  National Railway Labor Conference (NRLC) appointed Jeffrey Rodgers as chairman, effective Nov. 1. Rodgers has served as vice chairman of the NRLC since 2009, helping lead the industry through the last three rounds of national collective bargaining. As the NRLC's eighth chairman, he will succeed Brendan Branon, who has served as chairman since 2019. Before joining the freight-rail industry, Rodgers served in leadership positions in the airline industry and as an officer in the U.S. Air Force.

Palm Beach County Commissioner Marci Woodward has been elected chair of South Florida Regional Transportation Authority's (SFRTA) board, and Miami-Dale County Commissioner Raquel Regalado to serve as vice chair. As commissioner, Woodward represents 13 municipalities and has focused on bringing together stakeholders on transportation and traffic, SFRTA officials said in a press release. Regalado practices law in Florida and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
