People news from Pandrol and Ports of Indiana (Jan. 24)


Xavier Sarrat has been named chief procurement officer at Pandrol.

Pandrol has appointed Xavier Sarrat chief procurement officer to succeed Olivier Jullien, who has taken on a new strategic role at the company. Previously, Sarrat was associate vice president of global procurement in Singapore for Agilent Technology. He also served as brakes and safety group sourcing director and purchasing director in the China division for Wabtec. Jullien has been assigned to support Pandrol's "On-Track 2028" strategy, according to a company press release.

Ports of Indiana has hired Kristin Brier for the newly created role of vice president of integrated planning and sustainable development. Most recently, Brier was multimodal director at the Indiana Department of Transportation. In her new position, she will oversee the engineering, grant development and project delivery staff, while leading initiatives to integrate planning between all departments, increase grant funding and develop sustainable port projects. She also will serve as liaison to state and federal officials for policy matters, port officials said in a press release.
