R. J. Corman Railroad Group has appointed Alin Campian interim chief financial officer. Previously, he was vice president of commercial strategy and yield management. Prior to joining R. J. Corman, Campian held positions with Patriot Rail, Florida East Coast Railway and CSX. As interim CFO, he will oversee yield management, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, reporting and compliance.
RailPros has hired Kyle D’Souza as vice president of corporate development. D’Souza has more than 10 years of experience in business valuation and corporate development. His previous roles include leading corporate development initiatives that focused on portfolio optimization through mergers and acquisitions and delivering financial modeling and valuation services to Fortune 500, public, private and international companies.
The North County Transit District (NCTD) has promoted Misty Calder to deputy general counsel. She will provide legal and compliance support, including the preparation of legal opinions, research support, environmental and regulatory compliance, document preparation and related legal services. Calder joined NCTD in April 2023 as senior legal counsel.
The Georgia Ports Authority (GPA) has appointed Flavio Batista chief commercial officer, and Rob Dooley chief financial officer. The appointments reflect a succession plan to prepare for the retirement of CFO Michaela Thompson and for current CCO Cliff Pyron to step into an advisory role, according to a GPA news release. Batista joined GPA as vice president of sales and marketing in January 2023, while Dooley joined GPA in August 2023 as senior director of finance.
Bentley Systems Inc.'s new CEO, Nicholas Cumins, officially takes charge today. Cumins succeeds Greg Bentley, the eldest of the five brothers who founded Bentley Systems. Cumins is the first CEO in the company’s 40-year history who is not a Bentley family member, according to a company news release. Greg Bentley is now executive chair. Bentley Systems is a provider of infrastructure engineering software.
The National Association of Railway Business Women (NARBW) has elected Rhonda Gomez as its 42nd president. Gomez worked for BNSF Railway Co. for more than 36 years. She started as an off-in-force employee and held various positions before retiring in 2017 as an administrative associate in the general manager’s department. Gomez has served the NARBW local Kansas City chapter since 2012.
