RCR Rail Co. has appointed Bruce Mann vice president of operations. He will oversee the day-to-day management of operational activities, as well as contractor oversight and procurement. He also will be involved in revenue-generating activities, client development and business growth. Mann's career has spanned the rail, freight and transportation sectors. He is a past president of the North American Rail Shippers Association. "[Mann's] expertise in freight mobility, strategic operations and business development, combined with his deep commitment to industry innovation and customer satisfaction, makes him the perfect addition to drive our company forward," said Hydie McAlister, principal at RCR Rail, in a press release. RCR Rail provides transloading, industrial outdoor storage and customized rail services across Texas.

Brown Advisory partner and senior adviser Ben Griswold will join CSX CEO Joe Hinrichs as co-chair of the B&O Railroad Museum’s $38 million capital campaign. The campaign will raise funds to transform the museum’s campus in preparation for the 200th anniversary of American railroading in 2027. Griswold is the great-great-great-great grandson of Alex Brown, the founder of the country’s first investment bank and whose house was the site where Baltimore merchants convened to charter the first American common carrier railroad, museum officials said in a press release. The B&O Railroad Museum is a historic site located in Baltimore on the original grounds of the Baltimore and Ohio (B&O) Railroad, the first commercially chartered railroad in the country in 1827.
