Savage Co. has hired welcomed Josh Anders to serve as chief financial officer. Anders will be a member of the company’s enterprise leadership team. Prior to joining Savage, Anders was president and CFO of Sage Natural Resources LLC; CFO at Samson Resources II LLC; executive vice president and CFO at Adams Resources & Energy Inc.; VP and controller at Southwestern Energy Co.; and VP of business development and treasurer at Beryl Oil and Gas LP.

Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) Port Director Bethann Rooney has been named the 2025 person of the year by the New York/New Jersey Foreign Freight Forwarders and Brokers Association. The annual award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to global trade, logistics and transportations industries. Rooney began her career with the port authority in 1993 and has previously held the roles of deputy port director, manager of port security, and director of port department.

Railway Engineering-Maintenance Suppliers Association(REMSA) announced Bob Coakley and Matt Violin have been elected to serve two-year terms on the REMSA board starting Jan. 1, 2025. Coakley, sales director at Ballast Tools Equipment, started his rail industry career in 2008 and has held senior management positions with Nordco and ENSCO. Violin is vice president of sales at NARSTCO. He began his rail industry career over 18 years ago.
