Allison Parker, executive director of the Transportation Communications Union/International Association of Machinists & Aerospace Workers (TCU/IAM), is the new labor chair for the National Railroad Adjustment Board, an arm of the National Mediation Board. She began the new role on April 1, according to a TCU/IAM press release. The labor chair position is elected by rail union leaders. Parker has more than 20 years of experience in the TCU/IAM industry relations department, which is responsible for assisting TCU/IAM representatives at every level with cases for arbitration.

Canadian Pacific Kansas City has named track maintenance foreman Brett Reynolds the company's 2025 Railroader of the Year. With 36 years of service, Reynolds exemplifies what it means to be a railroader — resilient, committed and dependable in all conditions, CPKC officials said in a post on X.com. "Working through snow, wind and sub-zero temperatures on the Maple Creek, Saskatchewan, subdivision, he leads by example to keep trains moving safely," they said.
