VIA Rail Canada Inc. has appointed Jonathan Goldbloom to serve as chairman as of April 12. A resident of Montreal, Goldbloom has been a VIA Rail board member since 2017 and has served on multiple VIA Rail committees, Transport Canada officials said in a press release. As chairman, he will serve a five-year term.

STV Inc. has hired Timothy Hurley as vice president of resident engineering and inspection/program management consulting operations, according to a press release. Based in New York City, he will focus on construction delivery. Hurley has 26 years of experience in transportation construction, and has managed large-scale projects such as the Van Wyck Expressway Capacity and Access Improvements Project, a joint effort by the New York State Department of Transportation and MTA Long Island Rail Road.
