R. J. Corman Railroad Group LLC announced Terry Evans and Vern Graham have been appointed to the company's board.Evans previously served 38 years at Norfolk Southern Railway, lastly as vice president of transportation. He joined Norfolk & Western and NS in 1979 as a management trainee and rose through the ranks over the years. In 2002, he was named VP of operations planning and budgets at NS, and later VP of process engineering prior to being named VP of transportation.Graham retired in 2010 as VP of the U.S. operations for Canadian Pacific. He joined the railroad industry in 1973 as a maintenance-of-way gang laborer at the Milwaukee Road. Graham was promoted through various management positions before being named GM of transportation for the Soo Line, which acquired the Milwaukee Road in 1985. Graham's position with CP began in 1999, when he was hired as GM of field operations. He later was named AVP of engineering operations, then moved up to VP of engineering. In 2008, Graham became president of the Dakota, Minnesota and Eastern Railroad, then added the role of VP of U.S. operations in January 2010 before he retired."With their expertise and proven leadership in the rail industry, [Evans and Graham] will have many positive impacts on R.
