R. J. Corman Railroad Group LLC has appointed Edward Quinn III to serve as the company's president and chief executive officer effective Oct. 24.

Quinn will succeed Fred Mudge, interim president and CEO. Mudge will continue to serve as chairman, according to an R. J. Corman press release.

Quinn will rejoin the company after a 22-year career in the transportation and manufacturing industries. His experience includes engineering, marketing and sales, and operations management. During his previous tenure at R. J. Corman, Quinn served as general manager of the material sales company and vice president of the derailment services company.

"Having worked with Mr. Quinn previously, I am confident he is the right leader for our company moving forward," said Sandra Adams, a member of R. J. Corman's board. "Ed has the intellect and integrity to lead our company as well as the passion for our employees and customers that is necessary for continued improvement."
