Railway Association of Canada (RAC) Director of Policy Development and Environmental Affairs Michael Gullo recently joined the Network for Business Sustainability's (NBS) council of industry association representatives.

The council is a working group within the NBS that focuses on advancing Canada’s sustainability agenda. Through its 2014-2016 Strategic Plan, the RAC is committed to advancing the sustainability of Canada’s freight and passenger railroads, said Gullo in a press release.

"The NBS Industry Association Council provides the ideal forum to meet with other Canadian industry associations and identify best practices, discuss lessons learned, and seek potential opportunities to collaborate with the NBS network and other council members," he said.

A Canadian nonprofit organization established in 2005, the NBS is a network of international academic experts and business leaders who aim to provide authoritative resources on key sustainability issues to help shape management practices and research.
