The Railway Engineering-Maintenance Suppliers Association (REMSA) elected Bruce Wise president at the organization's annual membership meeting held last week in Orlando, Fla.

Wise will succeed Trent Marshall, who will become past president, when their two-year terms begin Jan. 1, 2017, according to a REMSA press release.

Since 2011, Wise has served as director of railroad sales at Whitmore Rail, where he oversees North American sales. Marshall is vice president, maintenance of way, at Progress Rail Services.

As past president, Marshall will replace current past President John Fox, who has been active on REMSA's board since 2009, and served as the association's president from 2013 to 2014. Fox is vice president at NARSTCO.

REMSA also elected two new directors to its board: Nate Bachman, vice president of marketing and sales at Georgetown Rail Equipment; and Greg Spilker, vice president of Encore Rail Systems. Their terms will begin Jan. 1, 2017.

The REMSA annual membership meeting was held in conjunction with the AREMA Annual Conference and Exposition.
