RailAmerica, Florida East Coast assign senior-exec team

Yesterday, RailAmerica Inc. and Florida East Coast Railway (FECR) announced a new senior executive team that will be responsible for leading the combined organizations from a new Jacksonville, Fla., headquarters. RailAmerica and FECR are owned by private-equity funds managed by Fortress Investment Group Inc. affilates.
The senior team members are:
• Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, and FECR President David Rohal, who will be responsible for transportation, mechanical, customer service, and equipment functions;
• Senior Vice President of Strategic Relations Paul Lundberg, who will be responsible for labor and state governmental relations, and Class I relationships;
• Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer Dave Novak, who will be responsible for human resources, information technology, real estate and planning;
• Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer Charles Patterson, who will be responsible for marketing, sales and industrial development;
• Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Clyde Preslar, who will be responsible for tax, accounting, and finance functions; and
• Senior Vice President and General Counsel Scott Williams, who will be responsible for corporate governance, claims, risk management, regulatory and governmental affairs, and environmental matters.
The executives will report to RailAmerica President and Chief Executive Officer John Giles.
