RailWorks Wood Products Inc. recently named Don Hoffman manager of sales for the Southeast Region.

Hoffman previously worked for Kerr-McGee Chemical for 28 years, serving in a range of sales and operations management positions at facilities throughout the United States. With Kerr-McGee's departure from the wood products market, Hoffman will lead RailWorks' sales efforts for its wood products manufacturing plant in Warrior, Ala. His territory includes Alabama, South and North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi and Tennessee.

A subsidiary of RailWorks Corp., RailWorks Wood Products produces crossties, switch ties, bridge ties and timbers, pre-plated crossties, timber grade crossings, track panels, car flooring, tie plugs, wood preservatives and custom timbers at seven wood products manufacturing facilities. The company also provides a range of services, such as tie distribution, precision double end trimming, incising, end plating, s-ironing, pre-boring and branding.
