Railinc Corp. didn’t have to look too far to find a permanent successor to James Gardner, who retired in April after serving as president for seven years. The company has appointed E. Allen West, acting president since April 7, to the top post.
Since joining Railinc in 1999, West has served as vice president of business services and VP of information technology (IT). During the past 20 years, West also held various IT positions at Sea-Land Service Inc. (including director of IT), Norfolk Southern Corp. and Tenneco Inc.
