Railway development association elects secretary-treasurer nominee, committee officers

The American Railway Development Association (ARDA) on June 3 elected a secretary-treasurer nominee and officers for its five committees.

Association members elected CSX Transportation Director of Property Management Mark Holder as secretary-treasurer nominee. He began his railroad real estate career in 1987 with CSX.

ARDA's 2014-15 secretary-treasurer is GEI Consultants Senior Consultant Gary Rozmus. The other officers are Kansas City Southern Real Estate Director Elizabeth Steel, president; Arkansas Midland railroad Manager of Market Development Stephanie Johnson, first vice president; and Norfolk Southern Corp. Director of Technical Services Alan Sisk, second vice president.

ARDA members also elected officers for the following five committees:

Real Estate Committee — CSX Regional Manager of Sales and Leasing Matt Cangiolosi, chair, and Omega Rail Management Chief Operating Officer Mark James, vice chair.

Economic Development Committee — AECOM Project Manager Alanna Strohecker, chair; BNSF Railway Co. Manager of Economic Development Mike Ray, vice chair; and BNSF Regional Manager of Economic Development Jon Arita, secretary.

Environmental Committee — GEI Consultants Vice President Scott Keating, chair; BNSF Manager of Environmental Leases Don Girard, vice chair; and BNSF Director of Environmental Real Estate Matt Graham, secretary.

Technology Committee  — RMI Midwest Associate Appraiser/GIS Analyst Cameron Rex, chair, and NS Property Manager Andy Vollmer, vice chair.

Law Committee — Daley Mohan Groble P.C. Partner Pam Nehring, chair; McKenna Long & Aldridge L.L.P. Partner Michael Wallenstein, vice chair; and attorney Glenn Olander-Quamme, secretary.
