Yesterday, Kansas City Southern announced it appointed David Reeves associate general counsel.

Most recently a lawyer with Washington, D.C., law firm Baker & Miller P.L.L.C., which specializes in antitrust and transportation industry issues, Reeves represented KCS as regulatory counsel in the TFM S.A. de C.V. acquisition deal and Meridian Speedway L.L.C. joint venture with Norfolk Southern Corp. Now, he will represent KCS on Surface Transportation Board and U.S. Department of Transportation matters.

“[Reeves’] advice will be especially important as we expand capacity and grow traffic in the Meridian Speedway corridor … and as we rebuild the Victoria-to-Rosenberg line in Texas,” said Robert Terry, KCS senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary, in a prepared statement.
