Yesterday, Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corp. announced its board elected retired U.S. Air Force Gen. Donald Cook as a director.
As commander of air education and training command at Randolph Air Force Base, Texas, Cook was responsible for recruiting, training and education. He joined the Air Force in 1969.
“[Cook] adds a new perspective to our board through his distinguished 36-year Air Force career, including nearly 10 years as a command pilot flying more than 3,300 hours, along with more than 25 years of increasingly responsible leadership positions,” said BNSF Chairman, president and Chief Executive Officer Matthew Rose in a prepared statement.
