Tullio Cedraschi is bringing his more than 20-year career as president and chief executive officer of Canadian National Railway Co.'s investment division to a close. Yesterday, CN announced Cedraschi will retire and be succeeded by Russell Hiscock, the division's general manager.
Cedraschi joined the division in 1968 as a financial analyst, and later served as investment officer, manager and general manager before assuming the president/CEO role in November 1977.
"Tullio has been one of the most successful pension fund managers in Canada," said CN Chairman David McLean in a prepared statement. "Under his leadership, the division that manages the Canadian pension fund assets of CN generated consistently superior returns over the years, benefiting thousands of pensioned and current employees."
Meanwhile, Norfolk Southern Corp. named Harold Mobley vice president of labor relations, effective March 1, to succeed Mark MacMahon, who will retire next month. Mobley will report to Executive VP of Administration John Rathbone.
Most recently assistant VP of labor relations, Mobley has held various engineering, transportation and labor relations posts since joining NS in 1971 as a management trainee.
MacMahon, who's held numerous human resources and labor relations positions joining NS in 1975, is ending a 32-year railroading career.
