North Shore Railroad System has named Brigid Rich manager of marketing and car accounting, effective June 6, according to the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association’s May 24 newsletter.

Since joining North Shore Railroad in 1999 as a part-time car accounting employee, Rich has served as a full- and part-time customer service representative and car hire accountant. Reporting to Director of Marketing and Sales Todd Hunter, she also previously helped write the short-line holding company’s drug and alcohol policy, and administer federal compliance programs.

North Shore Railroad operates the 15-mile Juniata Valley Railroad Co.; 38-mile Lycoming Valley Railroad Co.; 71-mile Nittany & Bald Eagle Railroad Co.; 43-mile North Shore Railroad Co.; 37-mile Shamokin Valley Railroad Co.; 25-mile Stourbridge Railroad Co.; 30-mile Union County Industrial Railroad Co.; and 35-mile Wellsboro & Corning Railroad Co.
