Riverport Railroad L.L.C. recently promoted Amiee Martelle to vice president and chief financial officer.

She joined the short line in 2008 and most recently served as comptroller.

Riverport Railroad launched operations in Savanna, Ill., in the late 1990s after the closure of the former Savanna Army Depot. Since then, the short line has grown significantly, and has invested heavily in improvements and in developing what now is called the Savanna Depot Park, Riverport Railroad officials said in a prepared statement.

Meanwhile, Watco Cos. L.L.C. named Ray Pericola senior vice president of the performance management group. He will be responsible for identifying, prioritizing, planning and executing company-wide performance management process initiatives.

Since joining Watco in 2009, Pericola has served as chief accounting officer and, most recently, division controller. He will transition his corporate controller responsibilities to Joe King. Pericola previously was a director with KPMG and held various posts with Sprint, Ernst & Young and Thorn Americas.

Watco also named Carl Hybinette vice president of engineering for Watco Compliance Services. He most recently was manager of process engineering for Union Tank Car Co.

In late 2011, Watco formed the compliance services division, which is charged with providing a uniform and standardized approach to compliance, training and operational excellence throughout the company.
