Savage Cos., announced yesterday that Jeff Roberts is the company's new CEO. He succeeds Kirk Aubry, who has retired.

Roberts, who took office Jan. 1, is Savage’s fourth CEO in its 80-year history. The company provides transloading, engineering and construction services; facility operations and maintenance; and rail, trucking and marine transportation services.

Savage announced its CEO succession plan in June 2024, when Roberts was promoted to company president in addition to his role as chief operating officer. As CEO, he will continue to serve as Savage president, and as a member of the company’s board, Savage officials said in a press release.

Roberts joined Savage in 2016, and led financing, mergers and acquisition activity as the company’s chief financial officer. Prior to Savage, he spent four years as CFO of chemical supply company Maxum Enterprises.

“Jeff is the right person to lead Savage into the future, with his appreciation for the culture that has made the company successful over generations, passion for finding innovative solutions, and strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement,” said Savage Chairman Don Stebbins.
