SEPTA tabs Diggs as assistant GM of operations

The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) has appointed Luther Diggs assistant general manager for operations to succeed Patrick Nowakowski, who recently was appointed executive director of the Dulles Corridor Metrorail project in Washington D.C.
A 26-year SEPTA veteran, Diggs most recently served as chief officer - vehicle engineering and maintenance. He oversaw the agency's fleet of 2,000 rail cars and buses, and maintenance and operation of 23 shops. Diggs also served stints as chief officer of rolling stock, engineering and shops, chief bus operations officer and chief officer - suburban operations.
