The South Florida Regional Transportation Authority's (SFRTA) governing board has elected Esteban Bovo Jr. as chairman and Tim Ryan as vice chair. Last month, the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners tapped Bovo to serve as its representative on SFRTA's governing board. Ryan was added to the agency's governing board in January 2015.Bovo chairs the Miami-Dade commissioners' board and its Transportation and Mobility Committee. He also serves on the Unincorporated Municipal Services Committee and the Strategic Planning and Government Operations Committee.Ryan served as chair of SFRTA's governing board from July 2016 to June 2017. Elected to the Broward County Board of County Commissioners in November 2012, Ryan was elected mayor of the county in November 2014.
