Last week, Sea Containers Ltd. announced it appointed Ian Durant senior vice president ad chief financial officer earlier this year to succeed Daniel O’Sullivan, who retired. The company also recently promoted Angus Frew to SVP-containers, and announced co-founder and long-time board member Philip Schlee is stepping down for health reasons.

Durant previously served as VP and deputy CFO. Prior to joining Sea Containers in June 2004, he served as finance director of Thistle Hotels plc, Dairy Farm International Ltd. and Hongkong Land Holdings.

Frew most recently served as VP-containers. He previously served in various capacities for Seagram Spirits and Wine Group.

One of Sea Containers’ three founders when the company was formed in 1965, Schlee has served on the board for 40 years. He will retain the title director emeritus.

Sea Containers provides passenger-rail and ferry services, and leases marine containers.
