The South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (SFRTA) board recently elected Broward County Commissioner Jim Scott chairman and Miami-Dade County Commissioner Bruno Barreiro, vice chairman.
A SFRTA board member since December 2004, Scott is a founding partner of Tripp, Scott Law Firm.
Barreiro served on SFRTA predecessor the Tri-County Commuter Rail Authority’s board between November 2000 and July 2003, serving stints as vice chairman and chairman. He was elected to the SFRTA board in January.
